Prepaid Voice Rates FAQs
Q. What about the prepaid rates will be changing?
A. Effective February 1st, our rates will no longer be charged according to time bands. Instead our customers can now enjoy paying one single rate all day every day to certain destinations.
Q: When will these rates take effect?
A: Prepaid calling rates are effective February 1st 2017
Q: Will all prepaid rates be changing?
A: No. Only some of the prepaid voice rates will be changed. No changes will be made to the PAYG SMS, data rates or to the prepaid combo plans rates.
Q: Will combo plans still be available for purchase?
A: Yes. Customers can purchase a combo plan with minutes, text and data starting from just $20.00. More information on combo plans can be found here.
Q: Is the rate change applicable to all local rates?
A: No. Some local rates will remain unchanged
Q: Will international rates be impacted by this change?
A: Yes. Rates to some international destinations will change.
Q: Which rates will be changing?

Q: Are there any changes to the prepaid roaming rates?
A: No. There are no changes to the prepaid roaming rates
Q: Will the Free after 3 or 4 promotion still be available?
A: No. This promotion will no longer be available to customers. Customers are encouraged to purchase the new combo plans to benefit from cheaper per minute rates .
Q. Will postpaid rates also be changing?
A. No, our postpaid rates remain unchanged.

Q. What are prepaid combo plans?
A. Our new prepaid combo plans include data, minutes and text messages. Customers can choose from the following suite of plans.
Q: When will these new combo plans become available?
A: New Prepaid combo plans will be in market from July 29th, 2016.
Q: How can these plans be purchased?
A: The plans can be purchased through the USSD menu or direct access codes. See details below:

Q: Will the data only plans still be available for purchase?

Q: Will the auto renew feature be enabled for these plans?
A: Yes. All of our prepaid combo and data only plans will automatically renew once the plan expiry date has been reached provided that there is sufficient credit on the account.
Q: Can auto renew be disabled?
A: Yes. Customers who want to disable the auto renew feature should dial *363*1# (*end*1#) after each plan purchase.
Q: Can a customer purchase a data only plan while having a combo plan?
A: Yes; there is no restriction on the number of data plans a customer can purchase.
Q: Can a 2nd plan be purchased even if the expiry date of the first data plan has not yet come?
A: Yes; there is no restriction on the number of data plans a customer can purchase. See the below photo. Customers can get plan details by dialling *129# and selecting “Get active plans”
Q: Are these the only prepaid plans currently on offer?
A: No; BB7 plans (Chat, Social, and Prosumer) are still available for purchase as well as data only plans. These can be found on our website at https://discoverflow.co/barbados/mobile/prepaid-data-plans.
Q: Can I use the minutes in my plan to call other networks?
A: Yes. The minutes within the plan can be used to call any local network.
Q: Can I use the minutes in my plan to call overseas?
The minutes in the S, M and L plans can only be used to call locally.
Q: Can I add data to my plan?
A: Yes. Additional data can be added by purchasing any one of the standalone data plans.
Q: Can a customer use their prepaid combo plans while roaming?
A: No; these plans are only available for local usage. Customers can either purchase a prepaid roaming plan or pay the advertised roaming rates. More information on our roaming plans and rates can be found at https://discoverflow.co/barbados/mobile/roaming.
Q: Are there any changes to the prepaid roaming plans?
A: No. There has been no changes to the prepaid roaming plans.
Q: What happens to customers' unused data, minutes and SMS at the end of the plan validity period?
A: Customers are encouraged to choose a plan consistent with their usage patterns as there is no roll over of unused data, minutes or SMS. This is the reason why we frequently review and make sure that a variety of plans are available to cater to all consumption needs.
Q: Will there be alerts about usage?
A: Yes, there will be alerts for data usage but not for voice or SMS. However all balances can be checked by dialling *120#.
Q: When will the alerts be sent?
A: The data alerts will be send at 75%, 95% and 100% utilisation of the data in the plan.
Q: Can a prepaid combo plan be added to a postpaid service?
A: No, we do not offer plans that allow customers to mix prepaid and postpaid services.
Flow Data is a new feature that comes with every prepaid combo plan or data-only plan purchase. Any prepaid data bundle can be used in ANY Flow Mobile Market. This means customers do not need to purchase a roaming bundle in order to use their data while roaming.
No subscription fees or additional steps are necessary for the customers in order to avail to this service. Just purchase locally, and travel!
Q: What is the “Flow Data”?
A: Flow has transformed your normal local mobile data allocations, and improved them to being able to be used in all Flow Mobile markets. This means that your prepaid data is now good to be used at home and throughout the Flow Caribbean islands. More benefits, same plan.
Q: Do I need to subscribe to get the benefit of Flow Data?
A: No. Customers do not need to enroll to take advantage of this new benefit. They only need to purchase a local prepaid combo plan or data plan and they can use that data when they travel overseas.
Q: Does this promotion allow me to use my local minutes or SMS overseas?
A: No. The Flow Data benefit is only applicable to the mobile data use from the customer’s local data bundle and does not extend to minutes, sms or any other bundle type.
Q: What’s the validity period?
A: The validity period of any Flow Data bundle will be based on the expiry of the package purchased.
Q: What markets are considered “Flow Mobile” markets?
A: Flow Mobile markets include the following destinations – Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Cayman, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and the Turks & Caicos Islands.
