  • An individual must be aged 18 years or older.
  • Valid form of Government Issued Photo Identification (e.g. National Identification Card, Driver’s License, Passport).
  • For fixed services for example, landline, broadband or TV, a pole Number which may be obtained from the Light & Power bill in the upper left corner or viewing the pole nearest to the property is needed.
  • A security deposit may also be required. This will be held throughout the duration of the service and may be returned upon the closure of the account once the account balance is paid in full.
  • If it is a rental property, then a Landlord Permission Form (which may be found on our website or in any retail store) should be completed or a signed letter indicating the landlord has given permission for the service to be installed on his property.
  • An individual must be aged 18 years or older.

  • It is also not possible to change a service from postpaid to prepaid and keep the same number.
  • When changing a service from prepaid to postpaid, a deposit will be required (if the individual does not have another service) and a Valid form of Government Issued Photo Identification will be required.
  • An individual must have a valid form of Government Issued Photo Identification for both the account holder and the person to whom the account is being transferred.
  • If the transferee does not already have an account, a security deposit may be required in order to have the account opened in their name.
  • If the original account holder is unable to visit the retail store to have service transferred, a signed letter giving permission for the service to be transferred must be provided as well as a copy of a valid form of Government Issued Photo Identification.
  • An individual must produce the marriage certificate as well as a valid form of Government Issued Photo Identification with the new name.
  • An individual must complete the Transfer Address Form which is available at any retail store.
  • The Pole Number at the new address (this may be obtained from the Light & Power bill in the upper left corner or viewing the pole nearest to the property).
  • A transfer of service fee will appear on the next bill after transfer has taken place. This fee is $49.99 if the property has already been wired for service and $149.99 if the property has never been wired.
  • If it is a rental property, then a Landlord Permission Form (which may be found on our website or in any retail store) should be filled or a signed letter indicating the landlord has given permission for the service to be installed on his property.
  • In order to close the account, a Death Certificate for the account holder must be produced and a Valid form of Government Issued Photo Identification of the individual who is closing the account.
  • If there is a credit on the account, only the person who is executor of the deceased’s estate and produces proper documentation stating as such will be able to fill out the Rebate form which then goes to the estate of the deceased.
  • If you would like to change the account from the deceased person’s name to another individual, please see requirements for transfer of service (name change to another person) and the death certificate would also be required.
  • An individual must produce a signed doctor’s note/certificate indicating the person is unable to transact business due to the illness.
  • The account holder and secondary contact on the account are the only persons who can be given relevant information regarding an account. Any other persons should have a signed note from the account holder giving permission for them to conduct business on their behalf.
  • The secondary contact on an account can make changes to an account but are unable to close an account.
