RETIREMENT OF PREPAID LANDLINE SERVICE

As we continue to review and revise our product offerings, on October 31, 2019, we will be retiring our Prepaid Landline service. Details are outlined below:

 

Prepaid Landline Service
Our prepaid landline service will be retired on October 31, 2019. This means that subscribers will no longer be able to access their landline service or use prepaid cards to top up their accounts.

In preparation for this change, we will help customers currently using this service to select another affordable and convenient plan or product to continue using their landline.
 

All unused credit on account will expire at midnight on October 31, 2019.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our Prepaid Landline (Homefone Prepaid) service will be retired at midnight on October 31, 2019.

All current subscribers to our Prepaid Landline (Homefone Prepaid) service including active customers and those in “no top up” state.

Customers will be notified about the changes via the following methods:

  • IVR Messages to all current subscribers
  • Website
  • Telesales team
  • Notices posted at top up sales points

Customers will no longer be able to use prepaid cards to top up or make calls from their landline service. 

Any credit balance that is not used by midnight on October 31, 2019 will expire.

Active customers on this service will be required to opt-in and select either a Low User fixed voice calling plan or our Browse & Talk product which offers a combination of fixed and mobile calls in addition to a broadband internet connection.
