Tier 1 covers our most popular destinations — USA, Canada, and UK landlines — at a flat, low per-minute rate, and select Mix Max Plans include Tier 1 minutes at no extra cost. Tier 2 covers the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and the rest of the world at a standard per-minute rate, always billed pay-per-use regardless of your plan. Both tiers run on the same premium direct route, so call quality is identical — the only difference is destination and price. Check the rate selector above for the exact cost of any country.
No. International Direct Dialing (IDD) is automatically active on your Postpaid account. You can dial immediately, and charges will simply be added to your monthly bill. No activation codes required.
Yes, you can call any mobile number worldwide. Keep in mind Tier 1's low flat rate applies specifically to UK landlines — mobile numbers are typically billed at Tier 2 (or a higher mobile rate), so always check whether you're dialing a "Mobile" or "Fixed" line in the rate selector, as the price can differ significantly.
Calls are charged per minute and appear as "International Voice Charges" on your monthly statement. You are billed only for the exact duration of your connected calls, with no hidden connection fees.
IDD is what applies when you're at home and calling a number abroad — it's automatic and billed per minute at Tier 1 or Tier 2 rates, as described above. Roaming is different: it applies when you travel abroad and use your phone there (calls, texts, or data), and it's covered under separate Postpaid Roaming plans with their own rates and activation steps. In short: IDD is calling out while you're home; roaming is using your phone while you're away.
