Flow ToGo is an innovative mobile application designed to enhance a customer’s entertainment experience by providing the ability to watch popular Live TV channels and access specialized programming all from a web browser, smartphone or a tablet over WIFI or a data network.

 

The Flow ToGo application will provide customers with the ability to:
  • Watch Live TV from a select number of available channels
  • Record and play authorized recorded TV programs and series using a customer’s Cloud Video Recording storage quota.
  • Search, browse and preview the Flow On Demand library
  • Access specialized programming such as ESPN Play
  • Create up to 3 additional accounts for family and friends
  • Immediately access new mobile features when they become available

The Flow ToGo app is a part of Flow’s Advanced Video Service (AVS) product and is available exclusive to AVS customers at no additional charge.

 

How to Get
Flow ToGo

To register for Flow ToGo, you must have Flow's Advanced Video Service (AVS) as well as an PC or mobile device connected to the Internet. Here are the step by step instructions:

  1. Download the FlowToGo app or go to www.flowtogo.co.
  2. Select the Register or New User option.
  3. Enter your email address, name and a password of your choosing.
  4. Associate or link your Flow account by entering the last bill amount (up to 2 decimal places).
  5. That’s it, you’re now registered and can use Flow ToGo!

Flow ID is your unique Digital Identity which you can easily register for using solely an email address and gain access to apps such as Flow ToGo, Flow Sports, Flow Rio extra and much more!
Anyone can create a Flow ID, All you need to enter is your Name, email address and a password Goal is to keep it as simplified as possible
If are trying to associate a TV or Broadband account, you must answer the security question that it your last bill amount. You have to include up to two decimal places.

Yes, customers can use the Flow ToGo app at any location where an accessible Wi-Fi connection exists.
Most mobile smartphones and tablets support the Flow ToGo app including:
  • Apple devices running iOS 8+(including iPhone 6)
  • MACs running MacOs 10.9 + and Windows 7 (PC) systems
  • Supported Browsers are:
    • FireFox on PC

If you have and iPhone or an iPad, Apple's App store can be found on the main screen of your device. Touch the App Store Icon and then search for Flow ToGo and then install. If you have an Android device, Google Play can be found on the main screen of your device. Touch the Google Play icon and search for Flow ToGo and then install.
If the Flow ToGo app does not download, check the following and try and download again:
  • There may be insufficient space on your device to install the app. You will need to delete or clean up files, and applications to make additional room.
  • For Android devices, you need to authorize the app to have access to the list of device features requested for a successful installation.
Currently, the Flow ToGo app is free to all customers who have signed up to Flow's AVS product.
Flow is currently negotiating with its many content providers for the rights to broadcast live TV channels on the Flow ToGo app. The channels that are currently displayed are those where Flow has successfully negotiated those rights. As more rights agreements with content providers become finalized, Flow will be updating the Flow ToGo app accordingly.
If the downloaded package from www.flowtogo.co is failing to install, please navigate to https://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-started/Install/Default.aspx to directly install Silverlight from the Microsoft website. After installation on a computer, you may need to restart your browser for the change to take effect. If that does not work, try restarting your computer and re-try the installation. As more rights agreements with content providers become finalized, Flow will be updating the Flow ToGo app accordingly.
Yes, the Flow ToGo app can be used outside the country where the service was activated. However, because of agreements with content providers and country regulations some of the content and functionality cannot be accessed.
For some content, Flow has only negotiated limited rights to display on the Flow ToGo app. Currently, ESPN Play and other programming are only available within the country where the service was activated.
If you can't view any television channels, please check the following:
  • That you are connected to either Wi-Fi or the Cellular network
  • You currently logged into Flow ToGo. To check, log out and then login again.
  • Scroll down the Electronic Program Guide to Channel 100 (Flow TV) and select Watch Channel. If this program plays then you can watch Television.
If you can't see any Electronic Program Guide (EPG) information, please check the following:
  • That you are connected to either Wi-Fi or the Cellular network
  • You currently logged into Flow ToGo.
    • To check, log out and then login again.
  • That you have accessed the TV feature of the Flow ToGo application.
    • To check press menu icon (three bars) at the top right of the screen and then select "TV" in the Entertainment section.
  • If you cannot see the EPG please, please complete the email support form on this page or contact Flow Customer Service at 1‑800‑804‑2994.
No, there is nothing wrong with your account. The channel that are you are trying to view is one where Flow does not have rights to broadcast. As more rights agreements with content providers become finalized, Flow will be making more channels available.
No, there is nothing wrong with your account. The channel that are you are trying to view is not part of your TV subscription. If you would like to add that TV channel to your subscription, please call Flow Customer Service at 1‑800‑804‑2994.
Yes, customers can only record TV programs or series that are part of their subscription service and it can be watched on the devices depending if there are content rights for this device.
You can only watch recording for those channels that are available for viewing on Flow ToGo and that are part of your subscription package. Also, even if you can record the program on your device, you may not be able to play it on your device due to device content restrictions.
The storage quota from a customer's home Set Top Box and their Flow ToGo app are the same. Recordings made from the Flow ToGo app will count towards your overall storage quota.
If customers do not have enough storage quota they will receive an on screen message indicating insufficient quota.
To increase storage quota, please contact a Flow Customer Service Representative on 1‑800‑804‑2994 who will outline the available storage options.
The movies that are available for viewing are those where Flow has successfully negotiated mobile viewing rights. Flow is currently negotiating with its many content providers for the rights to rent movie titles on the Flow ToGo app. As more rights agreements with content providers become finalized, Flow will be updating the Flow ToGo app accordingly.
Customer can install the Flow ToGo app on an unlimited number of devices; however, only four (4) devices can be perform playback at the same time.
Customer who is registered for the Flow ToGo App will receive one (1) main identity. Customers can create three (3) sub-identities from the main identity.
Customers who have forgotten their password or need to change their password can do it directly from the User Profile section of the Flow ToGo app OR through the web by visiting https://www.flowid.co/index.html#forgot/password/
Customers who wish to change their Parental Control options can do it directly from the Account Settings section of the Flow ToGo app. Please note that only admin users are able to change Parental Controls
Customers who wish to change their Parental Control PIN can do it directly from the Account Setting section of the Flow ToGo app or they contact a Flow Customer Service Representative on 1‑800‑804‑2994 who can reset their PIN. Note to do it from the app, the user must be an admin user
If you are having issues logging into the Flow ToGo app, check the following:
  • Internet connectivity is present and you have a strong signal.
  • Go to Flow ID (www.flowid.co) try with your username and password entered is both correct.
  • If after multiple attempts have been made with no success, click the "Forgot your password" and type in your account email address. An email entitled "Reset password" will appear in your inbox. Follow the instructions to regain access to your account.
Only individuals with administration rights can setup a sub-profile. This individual is usually the owner of the subscription account.
Once a sub profile is completed, a notification email from "Flow ToGo Registration" is sent to the email address entered in the sub profile.
Notification or Welcome emails are normally instantaneous, however, depending on your email service this could take anywhere from 30 seconds to 15 minutes.
Note: be sure to check your junk folder for an email entitled Flow ToGo Registration in case the email was filtered improperly.

If you still have not received the Welcome email, delete the sub profile and start again. Be sure you have entered a valid email address.

If you are trying to change your password from the web client:
  • Visit http://www.flowid.co Select "Forgot Password?"
  • Enter your login email address in the dialog box that pops-up
  • An email from "Flow Registration" will be sent to your email address
  • Click on the "password reset link" Follow the instructions on how to reset your password.

If you are trying to change your password from your device, please ensure that you are:

  • Connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or cellular data network
  • You are the administrator, and currently logged into Flow ToGo with your credentials
  • Go to the Menu, Select User Profile, and the your profile
  • You will first be prompted to enter your login (current) password
  • Then you will be prompted to enter a new password and verify that password.
  • Follow the Reset your password" procedure again
  • Be sure to use the most recent "reset password link" contained in the email you will receive from Flow ID.
  • If that does not work, wait 30 minutes and try again the "password reset procedure" again.

  • The follow me function allows the portability of your VOD content from STB to mobile and PC devices

  • Follow me assumes that you are currently watching VOD content
  • Select the STB that is playing the content you want to switch to your mobile device
  • Select the Follow Me button. Playback should stop on the STB and start playing back on in your app
  • Please note that only content that is not restricted for playout on your device (Content Restriction) will be able to play back
  • Currently this functionality is limited to VOD content

  • The Play On TV function allows you to select and start playback of content from your mobile device or PC to a selected STB
  • Log into Flow toGo web portal or mobile app and navigate to the remote control.
  • Play on TV assumes that your STB is on. If it is not then you can use the remote to turn on the STB
  • From the app select the content that you would like to play and Select Play on TV
  • The content should play back on the STB and not in the app

  • Catch up TV allows the user to watch LTV content that is in the past, without recording it to PVR.

  • Scroll the EPG guide to the right to see previously played content and select the content you would like to play
  • Playback should begin. If it does not then press the play button

  • Never miss the beginning of a show. Play from the beginning allows the user to start watching LTV content from the start of the program if the user has missed the start of the show.
  • Log into Flow toGo web portal or mobile app and navigate to the TV page
  • In the currently playing column, select the content that you would like to watch.
  • Playback should begin of the live stream. If it does not then press the play button
  • Under the Viewing area note the option to Play from the beginning. Select it
  • The playback should now start from the beginning of the program
